Love Thy Neighbor

Friday-Sunday, November 1-3
The COTS ❤ Cedar Lee initiative is a fun and easy way for our church family to care for and have a positive impact on our community the first weekend of every month. It is as easy as stopping at your favorite business or patronizing your favorite restaurant in the Cedar Lee district. However you choose to participate, be kind, leave a tip, and show the community you care! Buttons and business cards are available at COTS welcome desks to help spread awareness.

Campaign for Kindness

October 6 - November 3
Jesus taught, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It’s a simple rule that holds the key to a better way forward. As we prepare for what may be the most divisive election in our lifetime, let's remember this sentiment in all out interactions with those around us. Want to help us spread the message of kindness? Visit our church office for a yard sign.

COTS Conversations with Mac Stephens

Thursday, November 7 at 6:30PM
Join us for the next COTS Conversation featuring Heights High Coach Mac Stevens. Known for his commitment to student growth, Coach Stevens is an inspiring Christian leader who will share insights on his “Build the Bridge” program. This event is free and open to all.

Healthy Congregations Workshop

Sunday, November 10 at 10:30AM
How do healthy congregations respond to anxiety and change? Join us for this free event including a worship service, lunch, and workshop. RSVPs are appreciated.

Questions of the Heart

Sunday Mornings, November 10, 17 & 24
The pace of life keeps us in constant motion, moving from one thing to the next. Much of the time, we are so preoccupied with daily life that we don’t take time to reflect on things of meaning. And yet, we all have questions deep within us, questions that go beyond simple knowing. Over this three-week series, we will explore some of the questions that our hearts long to answer: What is the purpose of life? How can I find happiness? Who am I and how should I live? These questions will be explored in our next sermon series, Questions of the Heart

UWF General Meeting

Tuesday, November 12 at 10AM
The next United Women Faith General Meeting will feature speaker Rev. Cindy Patterson. Bring a brown bag lunch to continue the conversation and fellowship after the program. Beverages and desserts will be provided. All are welcome!

The City Mission

Wednesday & Thursday, November 13 & 14
We serve dinner at CrossRoads Men's Shelter at The City Mission the 2nd Thursday of each month from about 4:45-6:45PM. A meal for 70-100 people is prepared on the preceding Wednesday evening in COTS' kitchen from about 7-8:30PM. Each effort takes 6–10 people. Come help out each month or whenever you can. We’d love to include you, even if it’s a one-time opportunity. Contact the church office to participate in either the meal prep or serving.

Love to Sew Ministry

Saturday, November 16 at 10AM & Tuesday, November 19 at 1PM
Come join our fellowship for service! We have sewing machines ready for use and we always need volunteers to cut and press. No prior sewing experience is required!
