Our mission is to teach, develop, and encourage young athletes to make the most of their physical, mental, and spiritual potential with the help of a volunteer group of parents, coaches, and members of the community. Our youth basketball league provides a fun sports experience while also imparting principles such as teamwork, trust, diligence, and respect. Church of the Saviour is an open and affirming congregation where ALL are welcome and this league supports and reflects those values.

Each week consists of a one-hour middle-of-the-week practice and a one-hour Saturday morning/early-afternoon game. At practice, players learn the skills necessary to play their sport, learn how to act as a team, and share in a brief team devotion. Throughout the season, all players receive an equal amount of playing time and an equal number of starts.

  • The first practice will take place the week of Monday, January 5, 2026.
  • Once weekly practice will take place in the late afternoon/early evening on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Parents may indicate a weeknight that will not work for their schedule.
  • First game – Saturday, January 17, 2026
  • Awards celebration –  Sunday, March 8, 2026

  • For children in Grades K-4
  • Early bird registration price of $125 per child has been extended until further notice. Scholarships available upon request.
  • Final registration deadline – November 23 

evaluations

Every participant MUST attend one basketball evaluation session. NO prior basketball experience is necessary.

  • Monday, November 17 anytime between 6-8pm
  • Tuesday, November 18 anytime between 6-8pm
  • Saturday, November 22 anytime between 10am-12pm

Make-up evaluation:

  • Sunday, November 23 anytime between 5-6pm (This time has been changed one hour earlier than previously advertised.)
